Why, you ask?
Well. When Kate started SMARTgirls at school, the boys saw how much fun the girls were having and started begging her to have some boys camps because "that's not fair". So Kate decided to be nice and offer a boys robotics camp in the summer. It's a nice olive branch and a fund-raiser for our program at the same time.
Our focus will always be engaging girls and will remain our primary purpose. However, we know the guys need engagement too. GEARSforGUYS is mainly for 6th-8th grade boys.
Currently we offer robotics camps in the summer and in Summer 2017 will be adding a prep camp for high school biology for both boys and girls.
